How to add a link to your Instagram bio

Add a link on the Instagram app
- Open Instagram and tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links, then Add external link.
- Paste the address (URL), add a short title such as "Shop" or "New video", and tap the checkmark.
Your link now shows under your bio. If you add several, Instagram shows the first one and a "and more" note that opens the full list.
How many links can you add?
Instagram allows up to five links on a profile (Instagram Help Center). Only the first is visible at a glance, the others sit behind an extra tap, which is why many people still use one link to a link in bio page.
Link not working? Check these
- Typos: open the link yourself from another account.
- Blocked links: Instagram may block links it flags as spam or unsafe, including some link shorteners.
- Missing https: paste the full address from your browser.
- Old app version: update Instagram if the Links option is missing.
